Robert J. Kernoghan
I’m Rob Kernoghan to friends and locals. I help people discover that ordinary things - food, places, stories, nature and one another - contain far more wonder than they first imagined.
Complicated things explained in ways to empower people to solutions; it’s what I’ve always done. We share meals, walks, history and conversations. Creating hands-on experiences, interpretive walks, crawling around in nature and time. Being curious and trying to understand new things with the time, tools and understanding we each have.
My background has taken me through lifelong public service, education, tourism and community development work, but the common thread has always been bringing people, ideas and places together.
My wife and I moved here after living, travelling and working throughout the world. Of all the places we could choose to call home, this beautiful larder, this wondrous place filled with rich ecosystems, history and simple pleasures, was where we wanted to live.
It’s the place we’re proud to call home and share what we each see in its wonders.
